JVC Kenwood Victor Entertainment Corporation (æ ªå¼ä¼šç¤¾JVCケンウッド・ãƒ"クターエンタテインメント, Kabushiki-gaisha Jei・bui・shÄ« Ken'uddo BikutÄ Entateinmento ), formerly Victor Entertainment, Inc. (ãƒ"ã‚¯ã‚¿ãƒ¼ã‚¨ãƒ³ã‚¿ãƒ†ã‚¤ãƒ³ãƒ¡ãƒ³ãƒˆæ ªå¼ä¼šç¤¾, BikutÄ Entateinmento Kabushiki-gaisha), is a subsidiary of Japan Victor Company (JVC) that produces and distributes music, movies and other entertainment products such as anime and television shows in Japan. It was formerly known as Victor Music Industries (ãƒ"クター音楽ç"£æ¥, BikutÄ Ongaku SangyÅ).
History
- April 1972: Victor Music Industries, Inc. (ãƒ"クター音楽ç"£æ¥æ ªå¼ä¼šç¤¾, BikutÄ Ongaku SangyÅ Kabushiki Kaisha) spun off as subsidiary of JVC
- February 1984: Sales and marketing department of JVC spun off as Nihon AVC, Inc. (æ—¥æœ¬ã‚¨ã‚¤ãƒ»ãƒ–ã‚¤ãƒ»ã‚·ãƒ¼æ ªå¼ä¼šç¤¾, Nihon Ei・Bui・ShÄ« Kabushiki Kaisha)
- April 1993: Nihon AVC and Victor Music Industries merge and the name is changed to Victor Entertainment, Inc.
- March 1999: Moved main office
- April 2014: Changed corporate name to JVC Kenwood Victor Entertainment Corporation.
