Anime Festival Orlando (AFO) is an annual three-day anime convention held during August at the Wyndham Orlando Resort in Orlando, Florida. Anime Festival Orlando has been voted as one of the âTop 10 Things To Do In Orlandoâ by DK Publishing's Travel Guide. Anime Festival Orlando has earned the title as being âFloridaâs Favorite Anime Convention".
Programming
Anime Festival Orlando holds many events that are typical of anime conventions, including cosplay, dances, panels, workshops, game shows, karaoke, video games, artist alley, dealers room, and trivia contests.
History
Anime Festival Orlando was first held in the Ramada Plaza Hotel and Inn Gateway in Kissimmee, Florida with an attendance of 450 people. The following year the convention moved to the Hilton Orlando/Altamonte Springs in Altamonte Springs, Florida with more than double the attendance at 1,000 people. In 2002 the convention again moved, this time to the Renaissance WorldGate in Kissimmee, Florida, and then to the Wyndham Orlando Resort in Orlando, Florida in 2003 where the convention was held until 2013. Due to hotel construction, the 2013 show was held in the Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld. The convention returned to the Wyndham Orlando Resort in 2014.

Reception
Anime Festival Orlando 2011 was reviewed by Nerd Caliber Magazine that gave the convention a 6/10 rating saying that the convention had "good dealers" and a "very social atmosphere" but was "sweaty and crowded" and parking was an issue.
